StarChaser. The postcard is a bit of New Zealand humour. New Zealand is known as a country with more sheep per population than people.

Christmas time in New Zealand is during our summer. Thousands of sheep get shorn (their wool shaved off) at this time of year to keep the sheep cool during the summer months. Hence the post card of Father Christmas having his 'woolly' beard shaved off.

I hope this explanation of the postcard makes it easier for you to understand it :idea:

Maybe New Zealander's sense of humour is a bit :twisted:
